Diane's strengths are in strategic planning, stakeholder consultation, organization design, and leadership development. Together with a network of associates who complement her skills, she has built a strong organizational change consulting business with clients around the world in a wide range of sectors including telecommunications, oil and gas, mining, public sector, and health care. Prior to establishing her consulting firm in 1997, Diane held senior leadership roles at TELUS including Director, Quality and Director, Organization Development.
Diane's strengths are in strategic planning, stakeholder consultation, organization design, and leadership development. She is particularly known for her expertise in designing and facilitating meaningful large group events. Her style is enthusiastic, creative and collaborative. She has a passion for learning, and believes strongly in the power of combining theory and action.
Diane has extensive experience applying the principles of continuous improvement and business excellence, and is known for her pragmatic application of quality tools in organizational change efforts. She had the privilege of learning directly from Dr. Deming and has since assisted numerous organizations with their improvement efforts.
Diane is one of four external assessors for the Premier's Award of Excellence. This program provides an annual opportunity for the Premier of Alberta to recognize superior client services and excellent business practices in the Alberta Public Service.
Diane has a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from Queen's University. She has completed the Graduate Program in Dialogue, Deliberation and Public Engagement from Fielding University, and training in Strategic Organization Design from the University of Southern California. Diane was a contributor to The Encyclopedia of Leadership (McGraw-Hill Business Books, New York 2001) and has published articles in the Canadian Journal of Workplace Issues.
